Angry South Africans Call Out Burna Boy To Apologize: Following the news of Burna Boy’s appearance as the headliner of DSTV Delicious International Food And Music Festival in South Africa, he is facing serious backlash.

Some angry South Africans have called the Grammy Award winner to apologize for his statement years ago or face boycotting. Recall that in 2017, Burna Boy made a statement that he would never step foot in South Africa again. This was as a result of the Massive Xenophobic attacks on Nigerians residing there at the time.

The singer took it upon himself to address the issue in a Twitter rant where he made that statement which is being referred to now.

Later that year, Burna Boy shocked South Africans after promising to perform in the country in the Africans Unite anti-xenophobic concert at the Sun Arena. Burna was set to share the stage with fellow Nigerian star Jidenna and SA rapper, Kwesta.

He shared in a tweet about the concert:

“The first of many! Part of the proceeds will be donated to the victims of xenophobic attacks on me”.

However, due to public backlash and threats of violence, the concert was cancelled. Now, this is another show and South Africans say they haven’t forgotten, and he should apologize or face another round of boycotting.

@klesetedi: “Let’s unite and cancel him till he apologises”

@KgomotsoKuts: “We told you to never set your foot here until you lodge an apology to South Africans for supporting crime and calling South Africans xenophobic for condemning it”

@pastorthys: “I demand a written apology to me as a South African”

@keyghan4: “Burna Boy must voetsek”

@YUNGZVY: “We ain’t going and his album is TRASH”
