Gigi Lamayne Describes SA Hip Hop As Toxic: Talented and versatile South African rapper, Gigi Lamayne has describes South African hip hop as toxic.

While having a discussion on her podcast with Big Xhosa, she explained how she thinks SA hip hop is toxic in all its ways, compared to Amapiano. According to her, Amapiano artistes are just enjoying the vibe, making music without all the drama that comes with South African hip hop.

As far back as October 2021, she had noted in a post on her Instagram page that she was done with South African hip hop, noting that “it’s toxic in its own ways.”

Although, she still went ahead to release more hip hop tracks, but it would seem that she is still making her stand clear about hip hop in South Africa.
